Duncan & Sevin attorneys represent maritime and land-based clients, both underwriters and insureds, with regard to environmental claims.  We assist from the investigation of a casualty through its conclusion, including coverage and litigation, including claims under OPA-90, CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, and state regulatory laws.  Many casualties, like collisions and sinkings, have overlapping concerns–preservation of life, property, and the environment.  We work with all parties for a resolution that best serves our client’s interests, often by finding the resolution that best serves everyone’s interests.
